Salzträume /
Salt Dreams

The second exhibition of the cycle, Stone and Salt, opens on December 18th, transforming the gallery into a fluid space. Saltzträume (Salt Dreams), created by Valia Kapeletzi and curated by Katerina Leontidou, explores the limits of reality and the space between sleep and sea.

The installation centers on the moment when consciousness slips into another state: not fully awake, not fully asleep, suspended in a quiet in-between. Here, boundaries dissolve and perception expands. Salzträume invites the viewer inward, toward that subtle threshold where memory, emotion, and imagination merge.

Delicate layers of color and form evoke waves, threads of thought, and shifting inner landscapes. Purples and blues rise like quiet tides, offering glimpses of places the mind visits when it wanders freely. Islands of memory appear and disappear; meaning settles and dissolves. The work asks:

What happens when we dream? Where do we go when the familiar loosens its grip? What remains real when everything becomes fluid?
