A cross-cultural space for intimate, visible, and bold creation.
Based in Zurich, hosted in Athens.

Founded by curator Bianca Bauer in Zurich, Ruby Art develops annual thematic cycles, site-specific exhibitions, and cross-cultural dialogues between emerging and established artists. Rooted in a Swiss–Greek exchange, Ruby Art connects its permanent gallery space in Athens with its curatorial base in Switzerland.

Ruby Art is dedicated to slow, thoughtful, cross-border artistic exchange between Switzerland and Greece. Its curatorial practice centers on site-specific installations and contemporary storytelling that allow space for depth, transformation, and reflection rather than speed or spectacle.

Ruby Art was built with the intention not to confine artistic processes to a single location. It functions as a curatorial ecosystem that moves between contexts, shaped by dialogue rather than geography. One side is rooted in research, conceptual development, and long-term curatorial thinking in Switzerland; the other is grounded in material presence, public visibility, and the everyday rhythm of Pagrati in Athens. Together, they form one living organism.

Deliberately situated on a lively neighborhood square, Ruby Art — Gallery allows contemporary art to become part of daily life, encountered freely by passersby, local residents, and visitors alike. The space operates as a non-commercial public offering, lowering barriers to access and inviting engagement beyond traditional art audiences.

Ruby Art stands for intimacy, experimentation, fairness, and cross-border dialogue, grounded in the belief that contemporary art can be both conceptually rigorous and genuinely accessible within public life.
